Etsy store and C2E2 photos

(Catherine signing some beautiful 130# glossy prints)

Catherine and I are happy to announce that we now officially have an Etsy Store! Please check it out at Satrun Twins' Art Shop!  We just got the newest reprints today and are mailing out the preorders tomorrow morning. If anyone else is interested, please visit our etsy store before they sell out. ;)

I have also been wanting to post a few photos from C2E2, our very first time selling art publicly. Our parents helped build our display stand and our sister, Megan, and friend, Celina, helped with the booth. Thanks to everyone! We could not have done this without them!!!

We were so busy the whole time that we didn't get any good photos of us at the booth. Here's what I could dig up:

Congrats!

I think this has got to be the highlight of the weekend at C2E2:

This lovely couple came up to our table last weekend happily eyeing my Super Kiss print. They had JUST gotten engaged at C2E2 and were looking for a keep sake. Congrats Steph and Joe! May you have a super life together!

We are all Wonder Women!

Here's our #1 seller at the convention- a parody/smash-up between Wonder Woman and that Dove ad. I have had this idea for a while, and Catherine and I collaborated together to quickly get this done just in time for C2E2. Buy this while it's hot, because it's going to sell out again! (We didn't print very many because it's our first time.) We sold out today, but have a fresh supply for tomorrow. (Also the Super Kiss print will sell out again tomorrow.) It's been an amazing day, and we still have two days left. I'm practically speechless for how well people responded, especially because it's the first time we're selling our art to the public. Now I need to get back to cutting the Super Kiss prints and hope to get sleep! (Been sleep deprived for a long time and can't wait to catch up on sleep next week!) Thanks for all the support!

*update 4/27/13: Wow. I mean, WOW. Thank you everyone for all your endless support. I can't believe how fast this went viral since posting it last night. (257 shares and counting!!! I was confused when people throughout the day were telling us they saw this piece online.) We just did this piece early this week, kept it secret, let alone a few friends, and the moment I posted it on our facebook page, it went off like crazy.

*update: 4/29/13: I still didn't understand until Sunday night just how viral this went. I'm even more speechless than before. wow. Thanks!

Pony Jem Fan Art!

Here's my pony/Jem fan art!

What a guilty pleasure.

Guilty as in doing fan art guilty and

guilty for taking a break from work guilty. ;)

Jem Pony Fan Art

Call out to the other 80s generation kids! Here's fan art combining Jem and My Little Pony, but I chose to use the new pony style. This was a warm up drawing last night between jobs. I'm going to try to get a final piece done within the next few days as we're juggling a handful of jobs and trying to find time to prepare for C2E2 next weekend. Check back for more later! ;)

Lady Octo

Catherine and I have been meaning to draw these octopuses (see her blog post) for 2-3 months now! We've just been a bit too busy to do any quick personal work. Here's mine based off of her's. ;)

Encore! Encore!

Here's another chance to catch Karl Dahl and the Golden Cube streaming online today at http://kaiharding.tv/tv/ It's playing every 15 minutes from 10am-10pm! Check it out! If you miss it, catch it later at http://vimeo.com/ondemand/karldahlandthegoldencube/46464722

Karl Dahl and the Golden Cube now online!

Catherine and I were part of a team on a short film, Karl Dahl and the Golden Cube, a few years back. It traveled the festival route in a variety of states, but unfortunately never screened in Chicago, so none of our family and friends had the chance to see it on the big screen. Well, for everyone who has been asking, here's your chance to see it! Today only it will be available to view for free at http://kaiharding.tv/tv/ If you miss it, please watch it on demand at http://vimeo.com/ondemand/karldahlandthegoldencube/46464722 Enjoy!

Here's my old blog post on this: http://sarahsatrun.blogspot.com/2011/05/karl-dahl-and-golden-cube.html
