Here's a drawing I did in the car on our road trip. This is based off a photo I took of a beautiful statue at The Art Institute of Chicago. I'm not sure the name of the sculptor, but will try to post when I get it.

Story behind this drawing:

I was having a really bad day and went off on a walk in our Chicago neighborhood. A father was out on this beautiful day with his kids wearing blankets as capes. The little girl on his shoulders looked at me and said, "I'm flying! I'm flying!" Their happiness was quite contagious and it turned my day around!

If you have noticed a total lack of new posts, you're correct. I have been very busy on a large job and any free time has been spent with family. (Now you know where our hard work ethic comes from!)
