Here's where I am at so far on this illustration. I like the look of the sketch and final lines combined. Hopefully I will find time this week to finish, but because of Thanksgiving I will be away from my computer for several days.
It's amazing how much better one's skills increase in a matter of years. To put this to the test, I took an old illustration I did and am revisiting it. Above is my new sketch off an old illustration seen bellow. I am finalizing it in Photoshop and trying to get it really polished up. Check back soon for the final image.
Catherine and I saw this guy on the bus Saturday morning before the sketchcrawl. What a character! I could only get a quick glimpse at a time without cracking up. Though I think he did catch me giggling. This is a quick memory sketch.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I know I did. This year Catherine and I dressed as flappers, something we have always wanted to do! I just LOVE the roaring 1920's! I have always felt drawn to that decade with the fun flapper dresses, Charlie Chaplin, and great music from such artists as Annette Hanshaw.
