Seaside Fantasy

Catherine and I were commissioned to draw someone's children as a sailor and mermaid. She's quite happy with the results and I thought I would share.

Redefining Female Superheroes

Article: Redefining Female Superheroes

It's nice to be mentioned in this article! (written a few years ago, but it just came to our attention) Unfortunately it's horrible to hear about all the body shaming towards women and what is perceived as an appropriate female body for superheroes. This just makes us want to draw more and more curvy women in artwork. I hope the artist in this article continues to draw the body types she prefers and finds the right market for it.

I wish I knew who this anonymous artist is in the article and what she is up to now.

Nurses Save Lives!

In honor of all the nurses out there, especially my younger sister! :)

Edit:
Here's an NPR article my sister found online that discusses the public's perception and Hollywood's depiction of nurses: Why Does It Take A Movie Robot To Show What Nurses Really Do?

Blizzard

inspired by today's blizzard.

I for one, love the beauty of winter and enjoy blizzards. (I don't have to drive in it though!)

Be careful out there!

Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day! Here's a piece we drew about 12 years ago that's been a favorite. ⭐️
