Catherine and I did three of these videos with Calabash Animation for the US Women's Soccer Team! We were happy to be a part of this talented team of artists. Check out their youtube channel Monday for all the videos! Lots of great stories.... Enjoy!
We are happy to announce that we are part of Thortful, a London based online greeting card company. We just received our first card today, and love the quality! If you're interested, please check out our pages:
To celebrate Women's History month, Catherine and I collaborated on a new piece as a follow up to last year's Women in History print. (as promised to some of you at a few conventions this past year!) It goes without saying that once again it was really difficult picking out who to include and many couldn't fir in once again. Perhaps we'll do a third? We hope you enjoy this!
Happy International Women's Day! Catherine and I love creating artwork that shows strong, powerful women to encourage and motivate others. Here are some of our images.
We're happy to share that a project we worked very hard on, Mearra~ Selkie From the Sea, will be broadcasting again, this time in Denver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Congrats to Linda Marie Smith and her whole team on this achievement!
National #PBS broadcasts begin in just 2 days, starting with #Denver's Colorado Public Television - PBS - CPT12 on February 27th... Then broadcasting in #California on #SanFrancisco's KRCB TV 22 - North Bay Public Media on March 2nd at 8PM... Soon after which all you friends in #LosAngeles can see it on PBS-KLCS ( KLCS-TV ) March 6th at 7PM...
Here's a little bit more on Mearra, from last year's broadcast.
Here's something I've been meaning to share! It's a small look at the process of animation!
I did animation keys on this episode of The Awesomes. Keys refer to all the poses a character makes to form a movement. This key animation has more breakdowns than normal because the movements are carefully planned out. After animation keys are approved, the scenes are handed to another animator to inbetween it. Inbetweens are all the drawings between each key drawing. In this case, we are using puppets, but they still require new drawings when needed. In this sequence the inbetweener most likely had to draw more hair, arms, lips, and skirt follow through.
Here's another Christmas commission Catherine and I did. If you're interested in a commission, please check out more at our website and email us. Thanks!
