Fantasy Art Workshop

Last month, we joined a small group of friends/coworkers to attend the Fantasy Art Workshop's Illustration Intensive in Milwaukee. It was heavily based on fantasy illustration, primarily game art such as Magic the Gathering and D&D. The teachers were amazing artists at the top of their field! We found it fascinating to get a glimpse into their world for a week. It was refreshing to focus on art outside of work, see other artists' techniques and workflows, meet cool people, and have an amazing bonding experience with our coworkers.

All good things come to an end, and on the last evening of the week, they announced this was the last workshop. We were all feeling crushed but also inspired. We're hopeful that many artists will be inspired to create more events and form art communities. We highly recommend finding platforms to develop your craft, find your artistic people, and recharge.

Harmony

Last month, Catherine and I joined a small group of friends/coworkers to attend the Fantasy Art Workshop's Illustration Intensive in Milwaukee. More on that experience later, but for now, here's the personal piece I created. This one is called Harmony.

Dino

Here's a cute dinosaur I did for a prehistoric art challenge at work. I had so much fun adding moss and flowers!

Helpers

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."
