I have been fortunate to have animated on Trix and Lucky Charms commercials for the past five years at Calabash Animation. Sadly, Lucky Charms has made the transition to all CG. That's been a huge hit to my freelance work. Here's the Cartoon Brew article about the transition. I'll keep my thoughts to myself. ;)

"difficult & expensive to achieve in 2D" -- is that a euphemism for "paying a person to do it"?
