We did a handful of commissions leading up to Christmas and will be sharing them through the week. Here’s one fun family portrait! Catherine designed this one and I helped with the final.
We are open for more commissions. Please contact us if you’re interested. Thanks!
I had mentioned this a few posts ago, but we're officially posting about this tonight!
We created a second Etsy store for our crafty side! This is something we’ve been wanting to do for a long time, so we’re happy to take the plunge! In our iCreate Tiny Treasures shop, we have pendant necklaces, hand painted items, scarves, and anything else we may come up with! Please check it out! https://www.etsy.com/shop/iCreateTinyTreasures
Here's a glimpse at the process of creating a custom illustration for someone. This one was for a woman named Rosa who sells rivets. She wanted a Rosie the Riveter who had an ethnic resemblance to her and used the colors, logo, and slogan of her company.
Here's a commission I did this week for a woman named Rosa who sells rivets. Rosa the Riveter! I incorporated the company name, logo, colors, and phrase into this piece.
We're open for more commissions starting mid-next week.
Here's a wedding gift Catherine and I drew for our cousin and her husband. They are big Disney fans, so we wanted to give them a special Disneyesque gift to capture the magic of their special day!
Catherine and I have been keeping busy with commissions lately. I will be sharing a few through the following week. Here's the first. This was a logo for a client.
We will be open for more commissions starting next week. Please drop us a line if you're interested.

I revisited an old piece and redid it in Adobe Illustrator for practice. I haven't used Illustrator in a little while and am happy to get back into it. :)
Catherine and I were guest artists on a two page comic written by Dave Scheidt in issue #12 of Aw Yeah Comics! It just came out today, so if your local comic store carries this, please go pick up a copy!

I thought I would share a peak into my process on this new piece. Here's the line drawing. I made the lines brown originally so that I could later adjust the color if I wanted it more black or a slightly different color.
Next is a step I often skip, but plan on implementing more. This is one of two pages of color studies. (I didn't care for my first page) I liked the idea of making her a more unique color such as blue, but the first color scheme was everyone's favorite when I asked other artists to pick one. It's my favorite too, so I ran with it!
Here's the image colored in with a paper texture I had scanned and layered in.
I used a "clipping mask" to add tone and highlight layers. Afterwards, I flattened the hearts to play around with re-positioning them because I thought that the top left heart was too close to her head, so I moved it to the left and then decided to change a few more of the hearts as well.
I think this is done, but will look at it with a fresh eye tomorrow.
